"The Melbourne Scottish Fiddle Club are touring NSW and running daytime workshops in Penrith on Wednesday September 29 2010, the first Wednesday of the school holidays, to be followed by an evening concert featuring The Melbourne Scottish Fiddlers, with Chris Duncan and Catherine Strutt and guests.
This is the only Sydney venue in the famous fiddlers’ tour which takes in country NSW too. This is a unique opportunity for fiddlers/violinists of all levels of experience, from relative beginners to advanced players, to learn new tunes and styles in a relaxed and fun setting from skilled workshop leaders, members of the Melbourne Scottish Fiddle Club.
Workshop sessions. Participants can choose workshop sessions in Scottish, Cape Breton, Quebecois, and Irish fiddle styles; as well as step dancing, cello, and guitar techniques."
