"Lynchburg, VA - Dudley Raine, 13,�an 8th grader at Linkhorne Middle School, placed second in the Virginia State Fair Youth Fiddle Competition this past weekend.
He then went on to place third in the overall fiddle competition, where he competed against adults.
Raine has only been playing the Irish fiddle for two years. He began playing the viola four years ago.
'I didn't know I was going to get that far with winning this. And so I was just so happy and when I went up it just felt really good to get the ribbon,' Raine said.
Raine received a cash prize of $150."
